Description
JEIL HIGHB 6 INJ is a sterile injectable solution of pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) manufactured by Jeil Pharmaceutical. It’s primarily used when oral intake isn’t adequate or absorption is compromised.
Composition
Active Ingredient: Pyridoxine hydrochloride 50 mg/mL
Form: Colorless to pale yellow solution in brown glass ampoules
Packaging: 1 mL per ampoule, usually 50 ampoules per box
Indications & Benefits
Prevention and treatment of vitamin B6 deficiency—including deficiencies due to medications like isoniazid, hydralazine, pyrazinamide, and penicillamine
Situations with increased B6 needs such as catabolic illnesses, pregnancy, lactation, and estrogen/oral contraceptive use
B6-dependent metabolic disorders, like responsive anemia
Supportive role in cheilitis, stomatitis, dermatitis, peripheral neuropathy, and hangover symptoms
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to pyridoxine; concurrent use with levodopa—B6 may decrease levodopa efficacy
Storage
Store ampoules in a light-protected, sealed container at room temperature (1–30 °C). Keep out of reach of children
