Appearance
A colorless, transparent solution in a colorless, transparent vial.
Active Ingredients
Each mL contains 0.166 mg of sodium selenite pentahydrate (equivalent to 50 μg of selenium).
Indications and Usage
Selenium supplementation in patients with selenium deficiency that cannot be corrected through nutritional support.
Dosage and Administration
Administer 100 μg of selenium daily via intramuscular or intravenous injection. If necessary, the dose may be increased up to 200 μg per day. Monitor blood selenium levels to ensure appropriate therapy. If this injection is added to a total parenteral nutrition (TPN) solution, the daily dosage must be 100 μg of selenium.
