is a sterile injectable formulation of D panthenol, a biologically active form of vitamin B5. It supports deficiency correction, metabolic recovery, wound healing, and treatment of digestive tract stasis after surgery. It’s produced by Jeil Pharmaceutical.
Composition
Active Ingredient: D panthenol (dexpanthenol)
Concentration: 250 mg/mL
Effects
Prevention and treatment of pantothenic acid deficiency
Supplementation during increased physiological demand (e.g., hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, postpartum)
Suppression and treatment of metabolic skin disorders (contact dermatitis, acute/chronic eczema)
Support for postoperative paralytic ileus recovery after abdominal surgeries
Mechanism
Converted in vivo to pantothenic acid → enhances coenzyme A synthesis → energy metabolism, cell repair, and anti inflammatory action
Precautions & Side Effects
Contraindicated in hemophilia (bleeding disorders) due to glass ampoule risks
Side effects may include:
Skin: itching, erythema, urticaria
GI: rare nausea, diarrhea
Respiratory: dyspnea if given too soon after suxamethonium
Circulatory: mild hypotension; elderly may experience agitation
Container: 2 mL per ampoule; standard pack of 50 ampoules
